A House Divided: I'm Okay, You're A Racist
Update: According to Time Magazine, The Left was worried that Trump was going to spin the election as illegitimate because of a vast left wing conspiracy interfering in the election...so they formed a vast left wing conspiracy to interfere in the election.. https://time.com/5936036/secret-2020-election-campaign/?amp=true&__twitter_impression=true
“BLM & Antifa attacked the White House last year, injured 60 secret-service officers, and set the historic St. John’s church on fire. When Trump had them cleared out with tear gas Democrat politicians/ media defended the violent terrorists as “peaceful protesters. And the DC mayor painted Black Lives Matter on a major street.”
This is the story of longtime neighbours. One day, one neighbour suddenly decided that, because they believed the builders of their house morally suspect, they were going to tear down their house and build a new, futuristic house with solar panels, a mini wind turbine and a charging station for their electric car.
Because gardening requires chemicals and insults Gaia they let their yard go au naturel. To help those who cannot help themselves they set up a people’s park in the front yard and let the homeless relieve themselves in the grass. They allowed a needle-exchange program, too, because addiction is no one’s fault.
They offered free meals to anyone coming by the house, but they served BIPOC, Dreamers, LGBTQ and the transgendered first.
Because they felt ennobled by this they set up a loudspeaker to let their neighbours know that they were living a destructive, racist lifestyle and needed to level their house to build a geodesic dome made entirely of recycled materials.
When this got to be too much, the neighbours put up a wall to keep out the noise and the smell from people defecating on the driveway. Immediately the neighbours sought an injunction from city hall against the wall, saying it was separating families.
They invited the media over to see them denounce their neighbours as irredeemable right-wing subversives. That night CNN and MSNBC pronounced them puppets of the Russians. A brace of Hollywood actors condemned them for not condemning actions that happened a century ago by people who are all now dead..
When the put-upon couple tried to defend themselves on social media they found themselves censored for wrong think. And were charged for owning guns. When they called their own political reps they found them engaged in a civil war amongst themselves over losing the last election.
This tortured analogy serves as an illustration of the divide in modern society. The pushy neighbour. The resistant neighbour. Same street, same laws, same flag. Irreconcilable differences.
The population has chosen between the two, but the WOKE folk have a deep bullpen of media, culture, Wall Street, bureaucracy and academia on their side. (That’s why, when “heroes” like NY governor Andrew Cuomo send the elderly to their deaths through incompetence, nothing is said.)
This has left conservatives, who are still happy in the homes they built, in despair. They want someone loyal to defend them, like Trump, but without the noise and distractions. They still want a piece of the Dream.
Racists, sexists, Nazis, homophobes, haters, recidivists, privileged are just a few of the insults launched by the howler monkeys of the Left. These “Words of Power” have largely paralyzed the Right. Its leaders like Erin O’Toole or Lindsey Graham spend all their time trying to disprove the charges, purging their ranks to please people who can’t be pleased.
Eventually they discover that all issues are now out of bounds for conservatives, because of the word fences the Left has erected around them. Conservatives are only left to discuss budgets and debt, which are a bore to leftists who like printing money.
As proof that it need not be so, GOP governor Ron DeSantis in Florida refuses to play the game of Word Power. He won’t engage in the Purity Purges of the Left. He sticks to his messaging on Covid -19 and the economy. Despite having schools and stores open, Florida is just 21st in per capita Covid deaths. He knows that while 95 percent of GOP voted for Trump, probably half the GOP leadership refused to do the same.
DeSantis understands, as Trump did in his feral way, that any charges they level at you are because they have done the same— only worse. Russian moles (Hillary exposing state secrets). Subversives (FBI/ DOJ spying on Trump). Ukranian corruption (Biden corruption). Kavanaugh sexual past (Jefferey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Clinton). Chinese corruption (Biden family shakedown cruise). Etc.
Naturally the Left hates an unapologetic DeSantis. They sense in his disengagement a potential to harness dissent in 2024. Through their allies in Big Tech they have already started rigging the game for Kamla Harris in 2024. They will mount a furious campaign against DeSantis (or perhaps ND governor Kristi Noem), not unlike their strategy to eliminate Trump using the FBI, impeachment, fake media and allegations of foreign interference.
It’s daunting— and why none of the Canadian leaders on the Right, mortified that the Toronto Star will hit them with Word Power, will tell the opposition and their Words of Power to go fish. O’Toole, Doug Ford, Jason Kenney play the guilty husband, stammering to explain why their pants are at their ankles. O’Toole just purged a member of his caucus in an attempt to cleanse his party. Neither the Left nor the Right is impressed. All O’Toole did was encourage more Word Power.
One of the solutions for the Right is simply to disengage in the Words of Power straight jacket for which they’ve been fitted. Refuse to play the game. Operate outside the DC/ Ottawa value structure. Stop trying to court the media (Michael Malice: “The problem with contemporary journalists is that they have been taught that their role is to train the masses in how to perceive and respond to information.”)
You can’t argue the Left’s purported moral authority in a debate they’ve framed. Don’t cooperate in the farce. Go back to your home. Turn off the TV. Stop reading social media. And turn your music up loud.
